Organization

In order to develop our members in different skills and carry out all the activities necessary for the performance of the Team, we are divided into 6 technical and 3 administrative subsystems, each with a head responsible for its organization. Meet the areas of expertise in the Team!

TECHNICAL SUBSYSTEMS

The technical subsystems are responsible for the design and construction of the car and are divided into: Structural Calculation, Design & Ergonomics, Electronics, Brakes, Powertrain and Suspension & Steering.

STRUCTURAL CALCULATION

Working together with all the subsystems, Structural Calculation is responsible for analyzing the behavior of the structure (chassis) and parts of the vehicle subjected to various efforts, in order to ensure strength and safety. For this, analytical calculations, numerical simulation and experimentation / instrumentation are performed.

DESIGN & ERGONOMICS

It is responsible for the design of the prototype. From the inside of the car, as comfort, and outside, as the color and mold of the fairings. Ergonomics ensures that the prototype is accessible to all percentiles dictated by RATBSB.

ELECTRONICS

It is responsible for the design of the electric and electronic system of the car, telemetry, sensors and meeting the needs of the pilot / car interface. Among the activities carried out, are the making of the car dashboard, lights (brakes, headlights) and sensors.

BRAKES

It is responsible for the entire project, simulation, manufacture (master cylinder, calipers, discs, etc.) and installation of the braking system, promoting the desired deceleration for the vehicle, ensuring the safety of the driver and other people close to it, in addition to the reliability of the vehicle. vehicle.

POWERTRAIN

Responsible for studying, designing, manufacturing and installing the vehicle’s transmission system as efficiently as possible. As the engine is the same for all teams, it is up to the powertrain area to design the best means of transmission of torque and speed to the wheels, in order to obtain a car that overcomes obstacles on the track. Includes engine, transmission system and tires.

SUSPENSION & STEERING

Responsible for the study, design, manufacture and installation of the vehicle’s suspension and steering systems. This area guarantees an agile direction and the best impact absorption of the terrain, in order to optimize the pilot’s comfort, maneuverability and performance of the prototype. The components of the subsystem involve: springs, shock absorbers, suspension arms, axle sleeves, steering wheel, and steering column.

MANAGEMENT SUBSYSTEMS

The management subsystems are responsible for providing the resources and processes necessary to carry out the project and maintain the team. They are divided into: Administrative, Management and Marketing.

ADMINISTRATIVE

It is responsible for accounting, involving accounts payable management, team equity control, cash flow control and financial planning. Also, for the purchase of materials, involving analysis of requests for purchase of raw materials, machinery and equipment, monitoring of supplier research, price negotiation, control of delivery times and inventory control. Finally, it is responsible for the processes necessary for the team to participate in events, such as registration, payments, bureaucracy for accreditation, transportation, accommodation, among others.

MARKETING

It is responsible for managing the team’s image, both visual and brand, maintaining the team’s internal and external communication, prospecting for investments involving sponsors, parties, among others. Also, it’s responsible for the Team <-> stakeholders contact, suppliers and consumers relationship, periodic search for events, news and information related to the Team and the project, idealization of marketing actions, research by sponsors who support the project, internal and external communication advisory, and finally, creation of materials for exposure in different media, with a defined focus and audience and dissemination of training courses offered by the Team.

MANAGEMENT

This subsystem is responsible for time management, which ensures planning and compliance with the schedule, reduction of rework, organization and Project Management. In addition, it develops work with people, with a focus on improving the technical and personal and ensuring the continuity of the team. It also works with knowledge management, which seeks to avoid major decreases in team performance through the registration and transfer of knowledge. Finally, it is the role of management to ensure a healthy work environment, both physically and mentally.
